Crossing the divide between analog and digital.
Meet Kai Griffin:
As both human and artist, I see where the history, culture, and nuances of life from the 80s and 90s meets the 2000s. It’s this experience that allows me to see the spark where classical theory meets modern work; where analog meets digital; where handcrafted meets laser cut; bridging the gap between the 20th and 21st centuries.
My artistic explorations include: post-digital methods of laser cutting, laser etching, CNC router creations, and digital manufacturing techniques; sculpture; printmaking. Wood, metal, enamel, and cast acrylic are my chosen mediums that meld synergistically to create a three-dimensional practice that straddles the traditional and contemporary.
